David Phelps takes Silver on Aggregate at 2015 Gibraltar OpenDom Lethbridge led throughout at the GTSA Open 2015 to win the Class A Aggregate. Starting with a PB of 617.7 on day 1 in tough wind, Dom opened up a 5.1 point lead over Silver medallist David Phelps on 612.6 with Martyn Payne in third on 611.7.

Day 2 broke much calmer with Richard Chasemore coming through with a 614.2, nudging Dom and Dave into Silver and Bronze Medal position, with a narrow gap between their scores of 611.7 and 611.5 respectively.

Day 3 again saw calm conditions, with David Phelps turning up the heat. A 621.2 marked the highest score of the weekend and a new International PB for David. Dom responded with his second PB of the weekend, by exceeding his day 1 score with a 618.5. Gibraltarean Albert Buhagiar came good after a difficult two days with his own PB of 616.5.

 

On Aggregate this left Dom Lethbridge in Gold Medal Position, with Dave Phelps in a safe Silver medal position. Rich Hemingway took Aggregate Bronze, having placed 4th, 7th, and 7th in each individual shoot, edging out Zoe Bruce by just 0.6 on aggregate 1835.3 to 1834.7.

In Class B, Henri Bonifacio dominated, winning on all 3 days to take the class B aggregate, whilst Steph Piri similarly led the Air Rifle Championship throughout. James Scott was the top junior, placing 4th in the Air Rifle Aggregate.
